ALMA created strategic promotional videos for RightSoft Labs’ Mech vs. Aliens, leveraging game engine renders to drive content adoption across social platforms and sharing economy channels.
Initial Challenge
RightSoft Labs, a Cyprus-based indie studio with veterans from CryEngine and Unreal, launched Mech vs. Aliens – a mobile PvE/PvP action battler with mech squads, 100+ story missions, and multiplayer battles against aliens.
As a small team, they needed high-impact videos to boost visibility, downloads, and engagement on iOS/Android without massive marketing budgets.
ALMA’s Strategy
ALMA focused on game-engine-based renders for cinematic quality trailers that captured the sci-fi intensity: epic mech battles, alien hordes, base-building, and tactical PvP.
Videos were optimized for omnichannel deployment – short clips for TikTok/Instagram, full trailers for YouTube, and assets for app stores/social sharing – to maximize viral potential and user acquisition.

Key Solutions and Implementation
- High-fidelity renders: Using game engine tech for realistic mech customizations, explosions, and dynamic camera work, creating launch trailers and gameplay teasers.
- Multi-format assets: Vertical videos for mobile feeds, 16:9 for YouTube, loopable clips for Stories/Reels, plus static frames for ads.
- Distribution mapping: Tailored content for social (TikTok, Reddit, Facebook), app stores, and clan recruitment hubs.

ALMA Services in This Case
- Event Experience Design: Virtual launch “events” via video series mimicking conferences, with interactive polls and live streams for community building.
- Brand Consistency Services: Unified visual style aligning videos with game UI/branding, including motion guidelines for future content.

Videos achieved rapid global traction post-launch in June 2025, fueling downloads, Reddit community growth, and clan wars engagement.
Game-engine efficiency kept costs low while delivering AAA visuals, positioning Mech vs. Aliens as a standout mobile strategy title amid alien invasion hype.
