UI/UX & Web design

1. WHAT WE DO

Most websites look beautiful. But most don’t work. People come – and leave. Don’t buy. Don’t sign up. Don’t contact.

The problem isn’t beautiful design. The problem is that design doesn’t solve real user problems. The user doesn’t understand what to do. The path to the goal is confusing. Or just boring.

UI/UX & Web Design is our service for creating web products that work. That users want to use. That solve problems. That deliver results.

What this includes

User research & strategy: Before we draw – we research. Who is the user? What are their problems? What competitors exist? How will the user use the site? Based on research – we define strategy. What sections are needed? In what order? What is the user journey?

Information architecture: How is information organized on the site? How does the user find what they need? Structure must be logical, intuitive. We create site maps that show the entire architecture.

Interaction design: How does the site work? How does the user interact with elements? What micro-interactions help them understand what’s happening? We design not just visual design, but behavior.

Conversion optimization: Every screen works toward conversion. Where is the “buy” button? What size? What color? What does the button say? How do we make people click? We optimize based on psychology and data.

Visual design & branding: Visual hierarchy, typography, colors – everything works together. If it’s a corporate site – it looks reliable. If it’s a startup – it looks fresh. Design matches the brand and solves problems.

Responsive & accessible design: The site works on all screens – desktop, tablet, mobile. For people with visual impairments – everything is readable. For people with different abilities – everything is accessible. This is not “nice to have.” It’s the foundation of good design.

Technical handoff & documentation: Design is handed off to developers with complete documentation. Sizes, colors, specifications, behavior – everything is documented. Developers understand not just how it looks, but why it looks that way.

2. WHAT PROBLEMS WE SOLVE

  • The site is beautiful, but no one does anything, because it’s unclear what to do or where to click.
  • High bounce rate, people come and leave because the site doesn’t interest them or is confusing.
  • Low conversion to desired action (purchase, sign-up, contact), because the path is difficult or not obvious.
  • The site doesn’t work on mobile, looks terrible on phones, half the users leave.
  • The site is slow, users leave before it loads.
  • Design doesn’t match the brand, looks like someone else’s site, people don’t trust the company.
  • The site doesn’t differ from competitors, visitors don’t understand what makes you better.

3. WHY ALMA

  1. Research-driven design, not pretty pictures

We don’t open Figma and draw a beautiful site. We first research – who is the user? What do they want? What problems do they have? What path do they need? Based on this we design. Result: design that solves real problems.

  2. Conversion optimization is built into the process

We don’t just draw an interface. We optimize for conversion. Where might the user get distracted? Where might they change their mind? Where do we need additional persuasion? Every choice is deliberate.

  3. Full cycle – from strategy to handoff

Many designers draw beautiful mockups, but the design isn’t implemented correctly. We work with developers. Document everything. Make sure the real site looks exactly like the design.

  4. Data-informed decisions

We don’t rely only on gut feeling. We look at data. How do users use sites of similar companies? What colors do people click more often? What button sizes work better? We use a scientific approach.

  5. Accessibility & inclusive design

Good design works for everyone. For people with visual impairments. For people with motor disabilities. For elderly people. For all browsers. This is not extra work. It’s the foundation.

4. OUR APPROACH

Phase 1: Discovery & research

First – deep research. We interview users. Look at competitors. Analyze business challenges. Define key success metrics. Create user personas. Based on this – write user stories and define key flows.

Deliverables: User Research Report, Competitive Analysis, User Personas, Success Metrics, User Stories.

Phase 2: Information architecture & wireframes

We structure the site. What pages are needed? In what order? How are they connected? Create a site map. Then – wireframes for key pages. These are black and white mockups without design, just structure and flow.

Deliverables: Site Map, User Flows, Wireframes, Navigation Structure.

Phase 3: Visual design & high-fidelity mockups (3-4 weeks)

Now we create visual design. Choose colors, typography, style. Create high-quality mockups for all key pages. Every element is placed with purpose. Design is not just beautiful – it solves problems.

Deliverables: High-Fidelity Mockups, Design System, Component Library, Style Guide.

Phase 4: Prototyping & user testing

We create interactive prototypes. Test with real users. Do they understand how to use the site? Where did they get confused? What frustrated them? Based on feedback – we change the design.

Deliverables: Interactive Prototypes, Usability Testing Report, Design Refinements.

Phase 5: Design handoff & development support (3-4 weeks)

We hand off the design to developers. But not just Figma files. We create specifications. Document everything. Explain why each decision was made. Support developers, answer questions.

Deliverables: Design Specifications, Component Documentation, Developer Handoff, QA Support.

Phase 6: Quality assurance & optimization

We check the finished site. Does it look like the design? Does it work on all browsers? On all screens? Do all buttons click? Do all forms work? We fix errors. Optimize.

Deliverables: QA Report, Bug Fixes, Performance Optimization, Launch Readiness.

Phase 7: Post-launch monitoring & optimization

The site is launched. Now we track it. How do users use it? Where do they get stuck? What pages are popular? Based on data – we make recommendations for improvement.

Deliverables: Analytics Dashboard, Heatmaps, User Behavior Analysis, Optimization Recommendations.

CONCLUSION

Good web design is not pretty pictures. It’s solving user problems. It’s a path that makes sense. It’s actions that are logical. It’s results that work.

ALMA has created 50+ websites for startups, corporations, and everything in between. From landing pages to complex web applications. And the result is always the same: sites that work. Users understand them. They convert.
